Ensure The Release Of Nnamdi Kanu

So the questions remains: Why should President TINUBU act to ensure Nnamdi Kanu unconditional release? The answer, while seemingly straightforward, have profound implications for Nigerians path forward. Firstly, it is matter of Justice and the rule of law. By acting decisively to uphold the courts ruling, President TINUBU would send a clear message that the rule of law is not just a Principle to be casually invoked but a foundational pills upon which the nation stands. It would reaffirm the Independence of the judiciary and restore faith in the Justice system, which has been seriously eroded.

Moreover, the release of Mazi Kanu is not only a matter of Justice and fairness but is also deeply rooted in legal principles that should government Nigerians Democratic society. The continued detention of Nnamdi Kanu, despite court orders for his release, represents a violation of  his fundamental human rights and a failure to uphold the rule of law.

Under international law, every individual is entitled to a fair trial and due process. The United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights, to which Nigeria is a signatory, upholds the right to liberty and security of person,as well as the presumption of innocence until proven guilty. These fundamental principles have been disregarded in Kanu's case, where he has been held in detention for an extended period without being convicted of any crime.

Furthermore, the Nigerian Constitution guarantees the right to personal liberty, fair hearing, and freedom from arbitrary arrest and detention. The Constitution provides for the separation of powers, with the judiciary serving as a check on the executive branch. The courts decision to discharge and acquid Nnamdi Kanu should have been respected and implemented, as it reflects the proper application of the law.

The failure to release Mazi Nnamdi Kanu despite court orders not only undermines the credibility of the judiciary but also erodes public trust in the Justice system. It sends a dangerous message that court decisions can be ignored or manipulated for political expediency, which undermines the very foundations of a democratic society.

President Bola Tinubu, as a custodian of the rule of law, has a unique opportunity to uphold the principles of Justice and fairness. By ensuring the unconstitutional release of Nnamdi Kanu,he would demonstrate a commitment to the legal rights and protections enshrined in Nigeria's Constitution and international legal standards. This act would serve as a strong reaffirmation of Nigeria's commitment to the rule of law and the protection of individual liberties.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo Distances self from Allegged call

The attention of Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide has been drawn to one of the most alarming, embarrassing and unnerving news making the rounds to the effect that Ohanaeze has called on President TINUBU to deploy soldiers to all the corners of the south east of Nigeria.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo urges the general public to  disregard the unguarded and unreflective statement credited to Mr. Ikechukwu  Isiguzoro. The Tribune Online quoted Isiguzoro, urging President Bola Ahmed TINUBU  to deploy soldiers to every corner of the Southeast. The statement added that the second Biafra War has begun: In the words of Isiguzoro:" We are telling TINUBU that the second Biafra War has begun and he should deploy soldiers to all the nooks and crannies of the Southeast".

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Worldwide led by one of the most experienced illustrious Igbo Patriot, Chief Engr.Dr. Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu,CFR can never contemplate the subjugation of the people of the South East to a  military siege through the deployment of soldiers to all the nooks and crannies of the Southeast.

Second, Ohanaeze Ndigbo also debunks the news that the second Biafra War has begun in the South East. We wish to inform the World, especially our business partners, that there is no war in the South East of Nigeria. And that the phantom Biafran war rests in the figment of the imaginations of the purveyors of such news. The South East, comprising, Abia, Anambra, Ebonyi, Enugu and I'm states,is calm with a conductive ambience for people to go about their daily businesses.

Ohanaeze Ndigbo has repeatedly urged the media to always distinguish between the grains and the chaff or apply the Paul and Barnabas theory,in reporting issues affecting the Igbo. We have imformed that the Igbo all over the world have an emotional attachment to the unbrella organization, Ohanaeze Ndigbo that holds them together. Some of these mercenaries belittle the very purpose for which the Ohanaeze was inaugurated by eminent Igbo leaders, most of whom are now deceased.

The Ohanaeze Ndigbo and indeed the eminent sons and daughters of Igbo land have pleaded with such mercenaries to desist from lowering the hallowed image of Ohanaeze Ndigbo to their levels. To the average human, it is strange that somebody would wake up in his room and begin to propagate views that at variance with the Igbo position, using the name of Ohanaeze.

This group has been reminded to no avail that Ohanaeze represents the Igbo history, emotions, collective consciousness and solidarity that should not be dragged to the mud.

Steph Catley has Stood tall as Captain in Sam Kerr's Injury

Steph Catley has Stood tall as Captain in Sam Kerr's Injury enforced absence to deliver the Matilda's a 1-0 victory over Irland in their Women's World Cup opener. Australia's campaign suffered a hammer blow when Sam Kerr was ruled out of Thursday's nightsn game and the subsequent game against Nigeria with a calf injury suffered in Wednesday's final training session.

According to reports from Australia's football,th t Chelsea striker will be assessed araft the Matilda's second group B game against Nigeria in Brisbane on July 27. The vice captain Catley wore the armband and stepped up in the 52nd minute to take a penalty after Hayley Raso was brought down, coolly dispatching the winning spot kick into the top corner to send stadium Australia in raptures.

Mary Fowler has replaced Sam Kerr in Australia's starting lineup against Ireland and was the only change to the team that beat France 1-0 in Melbourne in the final warm up. Caitlin Food led Australia's attack in Sam Kerr's absence. Coach Tony Gustavsson opted for Alanna Kennedy to pair with Clare Hunt in the center of defense instead of veteran Clare Polkinghorne.

As expected, Ireland parked the bus, playing five at the back and giving the Australia's a green wall of players to get through. For more than 45 minute,it worked. The Matildas probed early without reward, struggling to break down the Irish and taking some nervous looking loose touches.

Katrina Gorry was everywhere, controlling the game from midfield, while Raso frantic energy and pace kept Ireland on their toes and she had a fiery battle with Irish skipper Katie McCabe.

The $70,000 monthly salary of Super Eagles head coach,Jose has become a huge burden on the finances of Nigeria Football Federation

The monthly salary of Super Eagles head coach named Jose Peseiro has become a big burden on the finances of the Nigeria Football Federation which chieftains of the Federation are battling to resolve, according to report. It was reliably gathered that the Federation was just waiting for the Super Eagles to end their Africa Cup of Nation's qualifiers on September 4 against Sao Tome and Principe before dealing with the issue  of Peseiro huge salary.

Part of the likely measures will be to convince the Portuguese to accept a pay cut or take a walk to allow the Federation look for another coach that his own salary will be less. According to the top NFF brass, Coach Jose Peseiro contract is laden with too many concession. The Portuguese coach Jose Peseiro was seeded so much rights in the contract.

Jose Peseiro's $70,000 a month salary is not realistic, and this is putting a big burden on the lean purse of the football Federation. Among the other Africans nations, Jose Peseiro is about the highest paid coach, even Senegal don't pay that much to their coach according to the report from NFF officials. Super Eagles last Nation's Cup qualifying match is on the 4th of September against Sao Tome and Principe and by his contract that's the end.

The truth is that NFF can not continue to pay Jose Peseiro $70,000 monthly salaries. We are going to site down with whoever we want to hire and then forward it to the Federal Government. Super Eagles of Nigeria will start their  World Cup qualifications in November,by then the NFF would have opened a fresh contract talk with the coach and will also involve the Nigerian Government in the recruitment process.

Joao Felix has been in the headline this week, after he recently expressed his desire to play for Barcelona, rivals of current club Atletico Madrid. Despite this, Felix is still involved with pre season training at Atletico. On Thursday, after the conclusion of one of the drills, the 23 year old appeared to be in a heated exchange with Thomas Lemar, which also involved them throwing a bib at each other.

It's hardly surprising that tensions are running high between Felix and the rest of the Atletico Madrid squad. It certainly appears that he doesn't want to be at the club anymore, although giving that there is little interest in his services at the moment,he is likely to remain for the next few weeks at least.
