Notorious Boko Haram commander surrenders to troops in Borno


A notorious Boko Haram terrorists commander identified as Bulama Bukar has surrendered to troops of 5 Brigade in Gubio Local Government Area of Borno State.

Director Army public Relations, Brigadier General Onyema Nwachukwu, who disclosed this in a statement on Wednesday, October 18,2023, said troops also intercepted a suspected ammunition courier on his way to deliver weapons to a bandit leader in Zamfara State.


Onyema added that troops of the Nigerian Army have continued to sustain the aggressive posture of ongoing operations to ride the nation of terrorism, insurgency and sundry crimes across the country.


"In the North East theatre of operations,a notorious Boko Haram terrorists commander, identified as Bulama Bukar has surrendered to troops of 5 Brigade in Gubio; the statement read.

"The surrendered terrorists was the commander of the BHT Camp Tapkin Chad at Gilima village in Abadam LGA of Borno State.

"Items recovered from the surrendered terrorists include one AK 47 riffle,5 magazines,44 rounds of 7.62mm special ammunition, one magazine Carrie jacket, one knife, one motorcycle and the sum of twenty three thousand five hundred naira (#23,500.00) only. The suspect is currently undergoing profiling session.

A Nigerian lady, named Sylvia Obianuju Chikwendu,has taken to social media to express her frustration after leaving Nigeria and relocating to Canada.

In a viral video, Sylvia Obianuju who was weeping profusely, said she is lonely and sad.  She said she lives in an apartment with someone who doesn't even know she exists and that her life is just all about work and school.


She added that she misses her family and friends and that she feels like she is just existing. She stressed that she needs help.

OAP Dotun has seemingly responded to the court order his former in-law, singer DBanj, secured against him. DBanj had approached a district court in Abuja where he secured an order trestraining Dotun from defamining him. 

He also got an order from the court mandating the police to investigate criminal complaints he leveled against Dotun.
In an apparent response to the court order, Dotun In a post shared on his social media handle said if people had obeyed court order,no one would be here. He went on to say that all that is happening now does not concern him as the goal is to see his children.


He went on to say over his dead body will anyone make his life dark even while theirs is 'yellow'

Police Officers arrested one man for r@ping


The  Borno State Police Command has arrested one man named Hamisu Dauda, who 37, years old, for raping a 62 years old woman in Shani  Local  Government Area of the State.

The Commissioner of Police,  named CP Muhammad Yusufu, who disclosed this during a briefing with journalist in Maiduguri on Monday, October 9,2023, said the suspect stole about 42,700 from the victim after raping her.

"On September 16,2023, at about 11:00 hours, one Daniel Musa m of Panshani Village via Gasi District of Shani Local Government Area of Borno State reported to the Police that on  September 13,2023, at about 12:00 hours, his sister, one Laraba  Musa 'F' 62 years old, went to Sabon Laying of Landekato, and while on her way back home along the Phana riverside, she suspect movement from behind and subsequently heard a sound," the CO stated.


"She turned back and saw one Hamisu Dauda, 'M'  who is 37 year old,of the same address, coming behind her. She stepped back for him to pass , but he grabbed her and forcefully had carnal knowledge of her, after which he stole the sum of forty two thousand seven hundred naira (42,700) from her pocket. 

The case is under investigation by the police authorities.

Uche Ogbodo his husband named Bobby Maris has welcome New baby boy.

Uche Ogbodo has welcome her third child, a baby boy. The actress took Instagram to announce the good news and her husband Bobby Maris replied, expressing his joy.


Their son has been named Ifeanyichukw Xavier Ugwuegbu.

This is the actress first son.

She has about two daughters from different men, one from a previous relationship and another one with her husband Bobby Maris.

Mohbad and his childhood friend, Primeboy,had a fight and the injury subsequently led to his death -Lagos police boss says


The Lagos State Commissioner of Police,Idowu Owohunwa, said that late singer named IIeriouwa Aloba and his Childhood friend Owodunni Ibrahim,had a fight on September 10,2023 inkorodu and that the injury Mohbad substained during the fight subsequently led to his death.

Speaking at the press conference in Lagos this afternoon, Owohunwa said;

" He attended the show in Ikorodu in Mohbad's company on 10th September 2023. At the end of the show, Mohbad and Ibrahim we're engaged in a violent fight during  which Mohbad was injured subsequently resulted in his death. So he is being treated as a suspect"

Mohbad's father, Joseph Aloba has said that a DNA test to establish the perternity of his grandson, should be done at the right time.

When asked to  address call for a DNA test to be carried out on his grandson during an interview with BBC Pidgin, the late singer's father stated that it is the right thing to do as the matter is now a global concern.

Aloba said; 

"This thing has become a majority thing, not only in Nigeria. So they should do the proper thing at the proper time".

Chrisean Rock and Blueface's Son undergoes successful hernia surgery


Singer Chrisean Rock has revealed that her son she welcome with rapper, Blueface, has undergone a successful hernia surgery.

The youngster was suffering from an inguinal hernia and Blueface blamed Chrisean for mistreating their son by not getting him treatment soon enough.The rapper also posted a nude photo of the child, showing his condition and suffered a backlash online.

Chrisean has now posted a boomerang video holding a smiling Chrisean Jr. from his hospital bed, revealing that the newborn is "recovering so fast"after the surgery.

Hospital nurses found guilty of unlawful drugging patients


An NHS nurse and a care assistant friend have today been found guilty of drugging patients on a hospital stroke unit for their 'own amusement' and an 'easy life'.

Catherine Hudson, who is 54 years and Charlotte Wilmot, who is 48 years are also said to have targeted patients at Blackpool Victoria Hospital if they dislike them or their relatives.

The friends were today warned that they face jail for their crimes.
Whatsapp messages between Hudson and Wilmot were uncovered after a probe was launched into alleged misconduct.In one text message to a colleague, Hudson wrote:' I sedated one of them to within an Inch of her life lol.

In others,jurors were told Hudson wrote that she was going to kill bed 5 and planned to give one patient the best sleep she ever had. 'What a lovely day I have had in blue bay today', Hudson wrote in a message read to the jury, adding: 'Sedated all the troublemakers lol xxx'.

In May 2016,in response to Hudson suggesting the sedation of a patient, Wilmot replies:'Ha ha yeah sedation we love it'.

In others,jurors were told wrote that she was going to 'kill bed 5' and planned to give one patient 'the best sleep ever had'.  'What a lovely day I have had in blue bay today', Hudson wrote in a message read to the jury, adding: ' Sedated all the troublemakers lol xxx'.



In May 2016, in response to Hudson suggesting the sedation of a patient, Wilmot replied: 'Ha ha yeah sedation we love it'. 

A student nurse on a work placement told authorities that she saw Hudson give unprescribed sleeping pill Zopiclone to a patient in  November 2018, Preston Crown Court heard.





The student nurse was further troubled when Hudson commented:'Well she's got a DNAR (do not attempt resuscitation) in place so she wouldn't be opened up if she died or like if it came to any harm'.

She bravely gave evidence against them.
Today Catherine Hudson,who is 54 was convicted of drugging two patients for an ' easy life' during work shift between February 2017 and November 2018. Hudson was cleared of ill  treating two other patients.

Jurors  at Preston Crown Court also convicted her of conspiring with a junior colleague, Charlotte Wilmot,48, to administer a sedative to a third patient.


Prosecutors said messages between Hudson,an experienced Band 5 registered nurse, and Wilmot a Band 4 assistance practitioner, revealed a ' culture of abuse'with patients drugged for their 'own amusement'.

Zopiclone was potentially life threatening if given inappropriately to acutely unwell patients, the court heard.

Two suspected criminals we're nabbed for allegedly stealing car batteries in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
